This year was even more difficult for me as I had a busted knee joint that was in pain and it was colder as well... not to mention we spent this whole Saturday at the Chinese New Year festival event photographing it all and lugging around equipment... so I was dead tired getting home at 7pm the night before.

But, luck has it that I finished in pretty much the same time, never stopped once and feel pretty damn good... Hooking up with an old buddy who's a pro photog and does amazing shots... Plus having my good friend Jim finish up a portrait of my wife that I took of her up in Monterey... which came out amazing... if you ever want hand made oil work, he's the guy... Jim, you're the best

Emotions are high, everybody is going nuts.... last night was the rehearsal. It's like the clash of 2 superpowers seeing these 2 mega families join. In a certain sense I kinda just stood there on the sidelines as her 5 other siblings told me to "do this & do that"... where as my only brother & I just stood there and enjoyed chaos.

Thankfully today (Friday) I'm in a position where I have some flexibility to run out and finish out "last" minute details OMG!!! A big shout out to all my Siemens peeps for covering while I'm gone, Bobby, Maurice, Cheryl, Dianne, David, JP, Steven, Pam, Jeff, Joe, Lori, Mark, Ray, Scott, Marc, Susan, Diana, & last but not least Suzanne for putting up with me and my shenanigans through this whole thing! I'll just start off by saying my personal opinion is that I'm against the buyout of IBM & Sun... Hell, if SGI can make it on their own for this long.. Sun has a lot more going for them.

With Sun just laying off over 8000 people this year (last 3 months alone)... Schartz (mr. pony tail) & McNealy (who has MORE THEN ENOUGH FUCKING MONEY) puts this in the contract....

Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Schwartz and Chairman Scott McNealy have contracts that mean they would receive three times their annual pay, including salary and bonus, should Sun be acquired. Schwartz’s salary was $1 million last year and his target bonus was twice that amount. IBM balked at the prospect of making payments to executives, the people said.

With the way the economy is right now, people getting laid off left and right... to put that shit in there...
